Baptist Care SA -Emergency Relief
Urgent call for food donations amid funding shortfall
Funding for Baptist Care SA’s Emergency Relief program has been cut, effectively halving support to hungry South Australians, including children.
With less funds available to purchase food, the program, which has assisted thousands of people over 10 years with emergency food parcels and financial relief, has been forced to reduce relief days from four to two in 2020.
During times of financial crisis, the struggle to feed yourself and your family is very stressful and distressing.
Please help through your donation of any of the following:
- Tinned goods (tuna, corn, creamed corn, lentils, fruit, sliced beetroot, spaghetti, baked beans, soup, spam, ham)
- Cup a Noodles
- Corn Flakes
- Rice Bubbles
- Vita Brits
- White rice (1 kilo bags)
- Italian pasta Sauce 690grams
- Full Cream Milk
- Skim Milk
- Deodorant (men’s and women’s)
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Body wash
- Baby wipes
- Large pencil cases to make up hygiene packs.
Donations can be made to Baptist Care SA Inner City site, 216 Wright St, Adelaide 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. Please contact 8118 5200 for further information.
Thank you for your support!
