Breakthroughs
Advent is here and focuses on the hope, peace, and faith that arose through Jesus’ incarnation, God becoming flesh and dwelling on earth. These events relate to significant breakthroughs in the spiritual realm and highlight the place humanity has in God’s purpose.
Within Global Interaction we are seeing God breaking through in workers dwelling in communities and sharing life together. This was evident during the recent visit to SA by Cam and Kath who live in rural Mozambique amongst the Yawo. Cam reports that as an agriculturalist he believed God would use his skills to benefit the community. However, they are more interested in his storytelling around God’s Word.

Sharing life results in sharing Jesus. They attended a funeral of a chief early on in their second term after Kath heard the news on visiting a local village a 1 km walk away. This brought real respect and an invitation to share stories of God on Fridays after the mosque worship. The travel on Fridays to this outlying village by motorbike attracted attention. White people would not normally visit the region. During one of the trips Cam was asked to stop and meet some men and a small community has formed.
You can explore this approach to ministry with Rob and Deb Griffith when they are on home assignment from December to May.

Please pray for Global Interaction workers as they share the birth stories of Jesus and seek opportunities through the Advent season.
