Global Interaction – Mobilize for Malawi During March – A Call to Prayer
Growing up I was surrounded by literature encouraging prayer for the nations and for workers. My parents instilled in me a recognition that the God for all nations would hear the cries of those who engaged the unreached. Numerous stories were told, especially the exploits of Brother Andrew as recorded in the book, God’s Smuggler.
In 2020 I am conscious of the need for workers and resources for the endeavours to engage the Yawo in Malawi and Mozambique. Therefore, in South Australia and Northern Territory this month there is a call to prayer for these concerns. Jesus in Matthew 9 (also Luke 10) encourages the disciples to request of the Lord of the Harvest for workers since the harvest is ready.
The situation in Malawi suggests the harvest is ripening. The forthcoming 12 minute movie, ‘In Step’ (click here), highlights stories of the Holy Spirit working within the community. The need is for the next generation to continue to support new clusters of believers.

The call to prayer becomes vital for candidates sensing the call of God to go. So, through March SA/NT Baptist communities are invited to participate daily for five weeks.
Week 1 (March 1-7): Pray for the Yawo;
Week 2 (March 8-14): Pray for more workers and local believers;
Week 3 (March 15-21): Pray for doors to open;
Week 4 (March 22-28): Pray for resourcing amongst the churches;
Week 5 (Mar 29-April 4): Pray for and thank God for David, Susie, Anushka and Kyran Haydon.
Thank you for participating daily. David and Susie Haydon value your prayer support as they continue to prepare to depart by June 2020. Click here to register your interest. Resources are available to assist you through the prayer campaign.
