Baptist Care SA has established a new ‘Southern Pathways Centre’ at 35 Beach Road Christies Beach.

Establishment of this new Centre, officially opened by the Hon. Michelle Lensink, Minister for Human Services on 4 November 2021, represents an ongoing commitment to provision of high-quality integrated services and to fostering interagency collaboration in the outer southern Adelaide region. The new Southern Pathways Centre aims to address the needs and aspirations of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in southern communities.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Matthew 25:35-36
Accordingly, Baptist Care SA is delighted to that the new Southern Pathways Centre will enable our ‘Toward Home Alliance’ partners including Lutheran Care, Mission Australia, The Salvation Army and Sonder to co-locate with our own dedicated staff.
Since 1 July 2021, the Toward Home Alliance partners have been working closely together to implement a bold new approach to preventing homelessness whilst also dynamically responding to the needs of those who are already homeless. The service map shows the geographical area in which Baptist Care SA and its Toward Home Alliance partners are now providing Homelessness Services.
Pastors and leaders from Baptist churches across the Adelaide Hills and Southern Adelaide area have been invited to join us to celebrate this next significant step along the ‘Transition Pathways from Adversity to Opportunity’ for vulnerable South Australians.
Call to Action: If you become aware of people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, please contact the Toward Home Alliance by calling 1800 809 273. Blessings to you as you seek to faithfully respond to the needs of vulnerable people in your local community and beyond.
Yours in Christ.
